In Mantuan dialect Bagài means “Thing. Activity. Brothel. Slang to define something of which you do not know or recollect the name” (from the dictionary Mantuan-Italian by Francesco Cherubini, 1827). This work deals with the process of modernization and adaptation of five historical buildings in Mantua.
