Spaghetti JunctionSpaghetti Junction is a series of camera car sequences taken while driving on the junction Rho-Pero, one of the areas that underwent major works for Expo 2015. Static images interrupt the continuity of the sequences and show the infrastructure from an external point of view. This work aspires to interpret the junction in a way that emphasises the sense of loss of the driver, in a sequence that is always same and different. The audio enhances this feeling: A composition of samples coming from a spectrum of radio frequencies collected on-site, then recombined in different loops, the sound expresses a site-specific panorama that is invisible to our senses, and it matches the repetition of the images. Realised as part of Sinfonie Urbane, curated by Exposed Project. 3-channel video installation, HD Video, 3-channel mono audio (converted to stereo), colour, duration 5’40’’ looped, 4:3 Video: Anna Positano [2014] |
